Holistic approach is a form of healing that considers the whole energetic person (body, mind, emotions, and spirit) to achieve optimal health and wellness by gaining proper balance in life. The human body is also designed to move, and physical activities have significant benefits for the body and the mind.
The whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it negatively affects their overall health.
I’m using integrative health care, complementary, alternative therapies, to treat a patient. For example, when a person suffering from migraine headaches pays a visit to a holistic doctor, instead of walking out solely with medications I will likely look at all the potential factors that may be causing the persons headaches such as other health problems, diet and sleep habits, stress and personal problems, and preferred spiritual practices. The treatment plan may involve nutrition, supplements, alternative therapy, basic exercise science with physical activity recommendations, to relieve symptoms, and lifestyle modifications to help prevent the headaches from recurring.
For optimal goal achievement we’ll follow effective SMART goals that clearly spell out what a patience is trying to accomplish along with Well-being Assessments. Well-being is defined as the state of being comfortable, healthy, and happy. This broad feeling is avoiding distress and disease, enhancing mental focus, reducing the risk of most chronic health conditions, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility…
Treatment involves fixing the cause of the condition, not just alleviating the symptoms and a range of specialists’ network.
